I'd say yes.
Unfortunately Since Apple released the M1 chip, any imac or macbook with an Intel chip, even from 2019/2020 (let alone 2017) is mostly vastly inferior/slower & less efficient. For close to 1k you get more value and power from an M1 macbook or iMac, it sucks but that's how it is now. You'd probably get more luck with pricing it closer to £500

Yeah it's really unfortunate. This is still a good, well specced machine with a good GPU. Obviously still a very capable and useful machine. But yeah, M1 chip / platform has changed everthing Mac wise, it's good in the long run in terms of power efficiency and performance.
But it's really changed the value/price of everything before it, and it really sucks in these situations where you want to sell old Intel hardware. I have the same era Macbook pro that i'm in the same pickle with.
