  • It's the same over three sets, and they all pair normally

  • Try having a look in settings at A2DP and other stuff that comes under Bluetooth, probably under developer settings.

I've found pissing about with some of that stuff has fixed things in the past.

  • Trade in phone was delivered to Google this morning so let's see how long the £££ takes

  • More A12-A13 update news.
Was just told there was an 'Update for Camera'.
    Duly installed.

  • No idea whether my chat with the google bot did anything but I got the trade-in pack this morning so will send it back off this afternoon and see what happens.

Just had a look at the phone that is being traded-in and it is in excellent condition so would be a bit pissed off if they tried to chip anything from that (although £135 for a 7 year old phone that was sat in a drawer does seem a pretty decent deal).

  • O2 are doing deals with Pixel 6a down to £335

  • Got the 6a, nice that it is the same size as the 3a with more screen space. Really can't face doing all my app logins.

Picked up the spigen liquid air case... not grippy, might have to get another otterbox, always good but spendy. Not sure about using this case while cycling and taking photos. It is otherwise sleek and well fitted.

Also, not being able to set the detault lens to the ulta wide is annoying.

  • guys, anyone with the xiaomi 12x ? reviews are good, but what are your opinions?

  • Also, not being able to set the detault lens to the ulta wide is annoying.

Yeh that's a good idea. Should send feedback through the camera app settings.

It's strange too that the ultra wide widest setting is 0.6 but the default for it is 0.7. You have to separately tap and change that.

  • Yeh that's a good idea. Should send feedback through the camera app settings.

    Didn't see that, have sent.

  • FFS my trade in has been rejected because factory reset was done via the fastboot menu and not in system settings menu.
    Joy.

Had it confirmed from Google customer service that is it and you can't re-send it in.

  • Shit thanks for sending here for those of us yet to do it. I'm sending mine today!

  • Yeah I bought the liquid air too and finding it too slippery coming from a Pela case so might get something else long term but would like to feel it first rather than just continuing to buy different ones

  • It's obviously clearly stated in the document linked in the email that I didn't click on because a reset is a reset surely 😭

Anyone want a pair of 4a phones very good price

  • Looks like my trade in has arrived dead on 14 days after I got my new phone (thanks in main to the pack taking 11 days to arrive) so hopefully they won't be able to use that to chip at the price. I took a video of it working (including the serial number) just in case.

  • Anyone want a pair of 4a phones very good price

    £?

  • When mine comes back I'll check if wife wants to keep hers as a spare and I will let you know if it's one or two

  • Pixel 6a with Apple headphone adapter gives about 50% of normal volume, absolutely shocking. Tried Sony Senheisser etc. looks like I’ll have to go Bluetooth

  • google do make their own its about £12?

  • Just tried it with a 4a and that’s rubbish too, I thought Apple took audio pretty seriously based on my 10yo work IPad which is still stunning.

  • Have you looked under the development options? Seem to remember there are some advanced volume settings in there

  • Sounds like the Google volume limiting is on.

  • Nothing like that in A13

  • From a little search on Reddit it's definitely a problem when using the Apple adapter with Android.

That's the nature of Android and USB DACs I'm afraid. iOS can take direct control of the volume of a USB DAC so you control the hardware output using the phones volume controls. With Android, the USB DAC has a fixed power output and all volume control is done in software, the USB DAC sets its power on connection. It appears that the default hardware power setting of the Apple dongle is less than 100% you can never get over that with Android unless you use an App that bypasses the Android USB Audio control. You could try UAPP, it works with most USB DACs and allows hardware level control.

  • Ahh thanks for that, so spend £7 on an app that might work and I need to run it every time I plug the headphones in.

    Cambridge Audio buds ordered then.
