Crazy to realise that you can spend 9 years in soviet prison and then become so high up. But then again it's Putin's regime and Putin's friend.

Yesterday on R4 Dominic Grieve flat out described Putin as a gangster running a gangster state. Which I suppose is a rung or two down from a typical dictatorship.
