In general i'm under impression that soldiers in Russia are treated like shit. Not just by superiors in the field but by general population - they seem to get no respect at all.
Here's yet another video (wink) where Russian soldier who lost his legs is not allowed onto the bus. Living in a wheelchair in Russia in a nutshell.
Was reading yesterday that locals were reporting hearing russian grunts phoning their superiors asking to be evacuated as part of the rout and basically told they were on there own and all the officers had already fled. Leading to russians stealing civilian clothes, bikes, cars, anything to try and escape, can not imagine how shit that must be for morale and how that news doesn't spread through out a whole force that you will get left behind, if you are injured you'll get left or poorly treated, if you're killed your get left while seeing corruption, looting etc. by your superiors
