Regarding customs: I put on the customs shipping note a value like £15, so there should be no customs charges then (if this info is still valid: For gifts over £39 and goods over £135, Royal Mail may collect the VAT and customs duties on behalf of HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) from the recipient prior to delivery).

It took 8 days until the packages were delivered (AT > UK). I guess that there was no customs to pay – but will update on that and have again a reason to bump this sales thread!
