Really enjoying the John Wilson How To series on iPlayer

I'm half way into series 1. Lots to enjoy about his manner and delivery, the subject matter and the city footage. Is any of it staged though? Seems they've captured an amazing number of significant events.

I'm not sure about staged, having been to New York it is pretty much like that but he does seem to gain access to things quite easily. I'm impressed by the rat count. I think it's in series 2 but the one about finding a parking spot is insane.
