We should ask our resident Proms expert.

Has this been resolved yet?

Third, I'm acknowledging that other family members have feelings during a time of morning.
It's worth pointing out that it was sweaty nonce's choice to do this in public, which, given his recent (and prior) history, is pretty fucking brazen.
He's literally the embarrassing creepy gropey uncle that you don't want turning up at family events.

And school is closed on Monday. Fuck that noise.

Either way, cancellations are a mistake. Channel stiff upper lip and keep-calm vibes all week with national anthem on repeat.
If you’re pro monarchy, enjoy the gilted edge to all your favourite activities; if you’re not, just swallow it and thank your lucky stars you don’t have everything cancelled and all there is to do is moan on a fixie forum about it.

This does seem nuts but I can't help but feel that it's probably lead by centreparcs staff saying they want a day off and they can't force them to come in at a time of national grieving.

Although a deeply sad time for the royals and our country as a whole, on a personal level this is actually very convenient for me as we were going to take our eldest out of school for the day due to travelling back from a wedding in scotland.

Test Cricket was played
There were subtle adaptations like a rope instead of advertising sponge on the boundary and no pop up adsMore black stuff like armbands for players
A rendition of the anthem which moved those who cared about thus stuff.
England won for the king and country

Politicians:
Summer Recess, Protracted leadership vote (if you're a card carrying blue rinse), 2 weeks of funeral stuff, straight into party conference season.Good job the economy and everything else is running so smoothly or I'd be really f**ing angry...

Sure but the way it's being handled...
20% of holiday cut but 30% refund so effectively only 10% discount. No early check-in on the Tuesday so I can't get into our accommodation until 4pm (!). No late checkout on the Friday to accommodate for lost time. No refunds on activities booked, just rearrange which doesn't work with 20% less time.
They'd also already communicated that it would be open.
I'm in an ok spot as it's only an hour by car but some people are saying they've got trains booked or flights with relatives coming in etc. Madness to ask people staying either side of the day to fuck off then come back. It's not like there's anything open for them to go and do for 24 hours.

British Cycling strongly recommends that anybody out riding their bike on the day of the State Funeral does so outside of the timings of the funeral service and associated processions, which will be confirmed later this week.

Bivvy bag & great outdoors, just don't move in the open whilst the funeral is ongoing, unless ghillie suited up obvs.

Or what? This getting a bit sinister.

Just wear black. Anyone complains, say its a memorial ride for her madge, proceeds to help4zeroes or something. Yes I'll take that tenner, thank you.

Agreed, does seem like madness. Guess they're basically making it up as they go along. Imagine complaint to management may get you a better offer.

By the time they get back, they will have worked 5 days out of the preceding 86.
Top value. Still, at least they've got plenty of time for their second and third jobs. -

Test Cricket was played
It was last time too. Although they moved the rest day to what would have been the 2nd day of the India vs England test in Madras so that there was no play the day after his death.

Gaol, inevitably.

Or taxi cunts will complain on Twitter "why haven't you recommended people don't cycle" etc.

Surely they mean in the vicinity
I'm gonna spend my Monday cycling/drinking/getting high in the woods. For the queen.

I'm sorry what? Isn't the whole thing basically being dragged out for the day anyway? What are we supposed to do, just sit inside in case someone is offended?

It's what she would have wanted.

The shouting of the social media haters is so deafening that no one dares do anything that might slightly suggest lack of respect. Hence BBC blanket coverage and cancelling of loads of events. My wife works for an NHS trust and had a managers briefing day cancelled for this week. Orders were from central and no one wanted to say WTAF!
