Many years ago I was on a school trip returning to Dover from Calais. The weather was fruity and we were unable to dock at Dover so had to continually circle in the Channel. People were being sick all over the place and it got so bad in the toilets that the vomit on the floor was overflowing from the raised threshold into the walkways around the ferry.
How bad does the weather have to be before (a) ferries are cancelled and (b) you would have rather have not got on the ferry in the first place!?
Doing Harwich to Hoek over the weekend and the forecast is...fruity to say the least (30mph winds, 2.5m swell - is this bad?!)
