Rode this today, first time in over a month or more, way more really.
With the cotic and cross check I have had my needs filled for the riding I’m doing at the moment, I’ve left it in the old flat for a while but today was the day to move it over. It is nice to ride, plush, boaty, but still less effort than an actual hard tail over tarmac.
Maybe I’ve gotten fitter but the perceived effort of riding it was lower today than in a while.
Kind of want sportier bars on it like it originally had, but also these bars really suit it for cruising, will likely stay as is.

Into the bag barely/not resting on the rack. Strong move.
In other news, I tripped over those Klunkers earlier. I should get round to posting them.

oh yes, the partner is in the process of some elaborate scheme to get a cross check and these would be perfect,
slide in my dms and we can work it out

Glad to see it being put to some use. Can someone organise a bike jumble in South East London so I can clear out some of the remaining 7m^3 of bike parts I have.

Went for 45 miles round Cambridge
Fantastic company
Around mile 37 I dismounted my bicycle and proclaimed it was “fucking boring riding your bike” and “my legs hurt” but I was encouraged back onto it

Cycling is only fun afterwards. And sometimes not even then.
Looks like good company though!

I wish I had friends to go cycling with.
Also, is that the Riv that was on Ebay recently? Cool buy.

I think the key is to have enough bikes that you can loan one out to each of your non-cycling friends.

we actually went through Ely as a large crowd was dispersing after paying tribute to ol' lizza. as our 6 or so strong group of yuppies came through on their eclectic gravel chariots several of the crowd gave us scornful looks, likely made worse by my, maybea little too loud, talk of "flag shaggers" to a pal.
@josh , i echo @po i leant a bike to a friend and they loved it, maybe you could tempt a pal on with one of your many hybrids
@samrensho the solwest roadie to ever live
@Tijs reporting in a day later, i still wish we stayed in eli and sunk cans on the canal then got the train, than the "race against sunset" home
Not Essex, I hope
Just look what happened to poor @spotter
