Would probably use a C&R acrylic eggshell on shelves rather than emulsion. It's a lot more durable.
I couldn't get on with led's without a diffuser. That's for bookshelves though, the spines seem to reflect the individual spots when I've tried.
Thought about eggshell but I’m matching the walls taking the risk with emulsion to blend in. I can always paint over
When I've had to do that in the past I've used a clear matt varnish over the top of the emulsion. It's easier to take a chance on diy though.
