I think I’m literally going to fit a 15mm mdf piece at the top of each box and then use led strip clips to fix them behind that.
The leds will be shining into the box and won’t need diffusing as they’ll be plenty bright enough to avoid looking like individual lights.
Definitely using a foam roller. Zinsser bin then Craig and Rose chalky emulsion.
Would probably use a C&R acrylic eggshell on shelves rather than emulsion. It's a lot more durable.
I couldn't get on with led's without a diffuser. That's for bookshelves though, the spines seem to reflect the individual spots when I've tried.
Thought about eggshell but I’m matching the walls taking the risk with emulsion to blend in. I can always paint over
