Anybody recognise this beach? Assuming it's not changed in the 50 years or so since the picture was taken? Cheers.

It's that beach where 6 trillion people turned up on the same day back in the COVID times

Understood. This is a 20" wheel shopper bike. seems common to run with a long post. Id assumed dropping a long 31.8 post beyond the top tube junction, then adding an inserted long smaller post would give the frame more support as I've effectively reinforced the whole seatube?

There's long and long; how long do want to go? I've survived with 365mm out of the frame (500mm overall length) but that's with stout seat stays and top tube meeting right at the top of the seat tube.

does anyone know where I can get brass barell adjusters, similar to these ones from an European source? as I am based in France, I might get stung by the customs purchasing from the uk. cheers!

Send them a message and ask them to mark down the value

Ok thanks as always tester.
I've seen several builds with some extra support added.
I'll have a measure and see how much seatpost I'll need.

Too late now perhaps, but in a similar dilemma I bought an imitation firearm and a pair of tights.
Strip to your pants and wear the tights to camo your knickers. Brandish the shooter like you mean it: "Naked Gun".
I got touched-up and offered a job as a podium dancer.
[YMMV and I know it doesn't begin with S, now you mention it.]

Get them sent to mine and I'll forward it over!

I've gone for a total length of 50cm here. Not sure how much is poking out of the frame but definitely inserted past the 'limit' mark. Will probably go a touch lower. I wanted an aluminium post but struggled with that length. I think this steel one was from eBay, can't actually remember.

Vegan Indian buffet restaurants on Drummond Street / near Euston. Haven't been for years. Think the one I used to go to has closed. Anyone got up to date recommendations (for lunch today)?

The one at Angel is still open

Diwana Bhel Poori House is the one I used to go to - it appears to be open today.

Have you looked on AliExpress?
-

I did at the time of buying, a lot. Many of the thicker folding bike sizes were 50cm but this was 27.2
-
• #114247
And I wanted something longer ideally 55cm like I had on my folder

Can you simply replace 105 r7000 FM callipers with Hope RX4+ FM? Same hose?
-
• #114249
Assuming you've got enough hose to trim the fittings off and use the hope ones, so like a spare 15mm, then yeah.

@psg1ben @sacredhart FWIW, here's one of my custom ones. 500mm shaft, so more like 540mm to the rails. Not difficult to make, you just have to cut up a generic multi-piece post and and turn some aluminium tube to make a socket in the top to take the recovered head. Kalloy make several variants with bonded-in head in both this Frog-eye style and 1-bolt Laprade styles.
This one is 30.4mm, but the one on my Azonic is necked down to 27.2 everywhere above the clamping area.

You'd need a good dose of baked beans beforehand to make the proper noises though
