You can’t deal with Canyon but Cannondale get a pass…?

this is not a comment on design, but the feedback i have about the company itself. as i said to greeno, he really should discard my opinion !

as far as design is concerned, i put aeroads, systemsixes and lots of others in the same design boat, heading to landfill

Peoples opinions on here are all I care about. If it’s not gonna score me an 8/10 in hhsrb I’m not interested…

Had this a couple of years now, guy before me did the paint job. Ratty up close and keep getting tempted to give it an update, would keep the classic logos though.

First thought was to mask and paint half the pump in the same colour as the frame 🤔

Yeah I mean all these race road bikes are pretty much the same. I love my Canyon but I’d bet good money and of the big brands similar offerings would be just as good.

I've been offered a CAADX frame from 2012 - rim braked version.
Before I commit, does anyone know whether it has guard mounts and what the clearances are like. Thanks.

It does indeed. The rear has a vertical mount under the brake bridge and the front has a normal brake hole on the fork., and there are some small eyelets for fixing.

I built it up as a winter road bike for a bit with kinesis mudguards and 30mm wide, 32mm high specialized roubaix tyres.

No probs. I think I had some wtb horizons on, 42mm, which were fine. Currently running 37mm gravelkings (pictured).

The tightest point would be the gap at the chainstays…
