All of this is largely in related to the queen herself than the monarch in general.

So when the queen die, I strongly feel people feeling toward the monarch will changes, especially as Charles is not exactly as popular as the queen.

He is pretty popular though, and considered pretty sensible and aware of lots of issues (environment, prices trust etc) The bad thing is he can't voice them anymore as king.

Yougov have him as 72% popular + neutral opnions. So yeah, not Queen popular but hardly unpopular.

Apart from the lobbying for the NHS to offer homeopathy and the like.
