I did manage to be offensive to Philip once. I had a holiday job ferrying bigwigs around in a Range Rover at Cowes regatta. There was an Admiral in the back of the car, who hated Philip like all the Navy did apparently. Philip was walking in the road in front of us, so I overtook him very deferentially at a snail's pace. The Admiral had a bit of a snort and said 'Put Your Foot Down, Driver'. He may have been drunk. So I thought 'Fuck It' and flattened the accelerator, leaving a furious, scowling Philip in a cloud of exhaust.
