I can only see a water based one, called Garden Paint. Am I being thick?
-
• #37504
I think that’s the stuff and I’m wrong on the oil based

Gutter scoop
Like this? Basically doubled my work time as I couldn’t get nearly as much out with it as I could by hand, so had to go over it again. I had it down to about a 25 minute job (7m x 10m roofline) before we had the leaf screens put in (still have to check this fall to make sure they’re working as advertised).

This evokes a terrifying image

It's useful if you're not keen to get your hands in there. I have problems with the skin on my hands from so many years working with chemicals and rough materials so I have to be a bit careful where I put them.
It also depends what you are likely to find in there. Around the victorian terraces there always seems to be a lot of sharp mortar. Sometimes people have thorny trees in the vicinity too.
Totally take your point about it being faster with bare hands if you can handle it though. Marigolds is about as bare as I can handle these days.

Ask a plumber to show you his next time he's looking at your downpipe.

Where can I find what appears to be an M6 bolt with an M2 internal threads? This assembly holds a glass bowl sink on to the pipes underneath it and the bold sheared off. (Thanks 3yo)

Does the manufacturer or distributor not have a spares service? Otherwise you might need to find a friend with a lathe, or even a pillar drill might do it.

Try Clerkenwell Screws?

I have no idea who makes this sink, there's no markings on it or branding. it was installed by previous owners, over 15 years ago

I found these, but the internal threads I'm not sure about

Mirror screw?
M6 with a 5BA internal thread came up fairly quickly on Google - no doubt other sizes exist. -
• #37517
Is 5BA approx 2mm?

Thanks, all I had to deal with over the years was leaf muck, shingle gravel and the odd dead bird. Also our house is a single story bungalow with full perimeter gutters and a couple of porches, so it’s easy to clean everything out from up on the roof, also saving time not having to move ladders et cetera.

I'd say outside diameter approx. 3mm - 1/8" even - Google will give actual sizes.
Can you take the damaged bits to a physical shop rather than online? Somewhere that can do measurements or offer up a replacement to see if it fits? (I'm guessing you don't have access to Vernier calipers) -

Arse in gear and did my gutters. Assessed the mess that is the cladding rotten and falling off.
Worst of all. There appears to be asbestos up there. Sigh.

Random question. We need some form of covering for countertops - sticky but not permanent to cover them for an impending party. Any ideas??

Tablecloth?
-
• #37523
Waterproof tablecloth? We use that stuff for kids painting and shit and have used to protect wooden worktops for parties. You can buy it cheaply and at varying sizes.
Not sticky but you could clip at the counter edge?

Thanks. My wife wants something that sticks. Apparently spilt curry will stain - who knew? 😂

What's the worktop made of? Maybe just bluepeter style sticky backed plastic from poundland
