They also have a manual wound version too which look good.

I do like these. Will try and take a look at one in person when I'm in the office next

I had looked at the promaster land when one was posted upthread. Some sources say they are smaller rhan listed too . Really like these

These work, but might need some tlc, thought someone might be keen?
£50 for the “gold”, £20 for the Seiko 5. Let me know and I’ll give you a number to a dude 👍

Looks like there is/ was a smaller Japan only Citizen Promaster . Titanium, radio controlled, no date, domed sapphire , 200m WR. Reckon finding one will be challenging though

I've been trying to find one of the WMT bubbleback homages cheap for a laugh but so far no joy... don't know who makes the marharisi version but assume it's them as it looks identical
What size is this one?

I've got a Promaster Tough and it's the watch I wear the vast majority of the time for the convenience of waterproof and not worried about damaging it.
It wears smaller than you'd expect from the dimensions. I'd guess at 37mm or something if I didn't know the size.

I think it’s a standard 40mm, can get the vernier callipers out if you want?
-
• #66910
Ah cheers but no need, was hoping for 36/38mm
I’ll keep hunting for the tiny bubbleback but good to hear they’re not trash -
• #66911
Definitely not. I’d say it feels better quality than the Smiths Explorer in terms of the overall feel of the watch. I don’t have the bracelet for it though and never handled one from WMT, so not sure how that is.

Thanks , that's helpful to know. The one I posted above is only 34mm....
It's the convenience that sells me. It'll be used outdoors , beaches, sports, rides etc . I'd likely swap the bracelet out for a rubber strap too

Anyone interested in this lovely piece of history?
Here you can read about this particular watch and how it was restored https://adventuresinamateurwatchfettling.com/2019/04/13/10-beats-per-second-the-lord-marvel-5740-8000/
All yours for £360 posted, here’s a picture.

Yes, I blame others for that. Quite a few on here too posting pictures of nice things 😂

I've got mine on a Christopher Ward tide strap which is very hard wearing.

This is really nice and that article was really good. Vintage Seiko wears so well, too. Imagine spending £360 on something new… or this. No contest.

Yeah, it’s class. But I got a King Seiko too which isn’t going anywhere, so this has to.

What size is this? What width strap does it take?

• #66920
super tempting..
anyone want a Smiths Everest..?
-
• #66921
19mm strap and I’m pretty sure it’s like 35mm. For reference, my wrist is 19cm/7.5in.

A hardwearing canvas / sailcloth/ recycled strap would be my other choice

It’s the one that Omega made for the Railmaster, I bought it on the bracelet and ordered the strap at the same time.
I pretty much took the bracelet off straight away and have kept it on the strap since.
Aw fuck, that’d be so easy to get under finances.
