As long as Priti Shithell gets the boot fingers crossed

I wouldn't be surprised if the cabinet changes very little.
New foreign Secretary, maybe another chancellor. -
• #77054
You think she’s going to keep Sunak as chancellor?!
She’ll reward those who supported her campaign. Which includes Braverman, Rees-Mogg, Dorries and lots of other idiots.
-
• #77055
Sunak isn’t the chancellor, he resigned. Nadhim Zahawi is.
-
• #77056
Kwarteng's repeated torpedoing of Sunak's tax plans surely landed him the Chancellorship, if it weren't his already?
-
• #77057
Nadhim Zahawi
Who has been conspicuously absent throughout most of this...
-
• #77058

You'd think that the lightweights like Braverman will be discarded now that they have served their purpose. Focus now has to be on keeping an eye on who could be dangerous / a future threat?
Keeping Rees-Mogg in the amusingly named Ministry of Brexit Opportunity seems like a suitable punishment.

Badenoch will be given something to try to break - maybe DCMS.
-
• #77060
something with a bit of a culture war angle for sure
-
• #77061
Lol - Braverman is slated for Home Sec and Mogg for Business Sec. Don't forget Truss has been very clear that she is loyal.
It's going to be horrific.

Although it's looking like Raab will be ditched so every cloud ...
-
• #77063
We said that about Boris.....

• #77065
Whatever happened to Gove?
-
• #77066
What is Minister for Cabinet Office?
-
• #77067
Not much commentary on how close the vote was.
57:43 is hardly a ringing endorsement from her own party
-
• #77068
Isn't the story that Gove is back off to journalism?
-
• #77069
Stepped back from front line politics presumably before whoever won the leadership did it for him.
-
• #77070
I think someone asked him in a recent interview whether he fancied being a newspaper editor?
-
• #77071
Looks like Priti has just resigned, still on the backbench though.
-
• #77072
Braverman is slated for Home Sec and Mogg for Business Sec
Terrifying prospect
-
• #77073
They've got cabinet jobs already though right?
I think the people behind Truss are in it for the very short term and will do as little as possible.Plus they said on the news the other day she'd be crazy to keep the Johnson loyalists, and I think she is crazy!

Having known, at a remove, Suella Braverman for over twenty years, the only possible conclusion I can draw on seeing the list above is that I am asleep - deep in a coma following a certain night of excess in Belgium that I did not, in fact, ever recover from.
The alternative is frankly implausible.

You can go through most of that list with a) thick, b) nasty, c) thick and nasty.
If the rumours of a cabinet of nutjobs are accurate, she's going to have one hell of a job keeping them onside, while u-turning on 'handouts' (and subsequently, inevitably on windfall taxes). At the same time all the 'moderate' Tories are going to be backstabbing. And that's just her party.
Pretty high chance she'll be one of the shortest serving PMs, IMO.
