I went to a wake in the birds nest a few years back. One of the messiest nights I've ever witnessed!
I adore that pub.

the young man recovered well from the surgery and was discharged shortly afterwards.

A friend told me the pub changed hands (no more live music) and that someone's developing around the creek. Bizarre that that would be seen as a desirable location but I guess it was a bit of a vacuum for it.
Have only been back once in 8 years but was always messy/fun.

Development all around it but the Nest hangs on and music still thrives, we played there last week.

I'd welcome it, but then I bet the 2028 campaign will be the Cons blaming Labour for being unable to fix a mess they made "governing" for 12 years plus Brexit plus climate change crisis plus war in Ukraine in 5 years. And maybe winning again.
If Labour is smart they finally back PR to stop that scenario.

She’ll freeze domestic fuel bills then declare a GE hoping to catch the bounce, as everything will be downhill from there.

My personal 5 pence is that they will borrow another ~£100bn to kickstart the economy in the short run, but avoid spooking the markets by (a) spending a lot of it on tax cuts/energy price relief; (ii) getting business onside by going after labour laws and environmental protections in the hope that they can win an election off the back of that and then buy another 5 years to try to clean up the mess they created or failign that, have another economic crisis to pin on Labour.

Not sure that would be enough of a bounce. I'll take the risk.
