I have to take the cat. And if I can go, the main objective will be to manage the ME, which means no overexertion, plenty of naps etc. Difficult, even without the cat.

My ire definitely isn't aimed at people who are ill and have pets they can't leave behind, and I'm sorry if it came across that way.

Somehow we have to discourage people in wealthy countries from deciding to have that third child
You'd have a much bigger effect on population stability by lifting millions in developing countries out of poverty so they had the education and power to choose the size of their families. Ragging on people with three kids in Hither Green might be easier but it's less effective.

It didn't, don't worry.

I don't think anyone can be overly pessimistic when it comes to climate catastrophe, I just don't think trying to persuade anyone to have fewer children is productive. Personally I'm surprised given the mess we're in that as many people are still having kids. "Carbon intensity" has to change, for sure.

Pets are bad for the planet too btw.

My dog has a smaller carbon footprint than a teenager driving a car.

American dogs cause so much consumption, what with their toys and Halloween costumes and SUVs to be carted around in, that they probably are bad news. If that expenditure went on agriculture in Africa...

This is one of the main objectives of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

I always felt claustrophobic drinking in there like the walls were closing in around me so it's a solid improvement imho.

Seemed like all the clientele were on the pavement just bar staff inside. It's not the most scenic streetscape though.
