I bought the same one. Nice knife for the money and the scissors work great. Only flaw with mine is one of the little bolt heads came rounded out so I can't easily remove the clip.

Love that. I was a bit dubious of the Heinnie editions, but after buying the Boker I posted about a few pages back I’m converted.

If I was still a smoker; that knife is the equivalent of the forty fags I'd smoke on a twelve hour shift.

Bolt issue or Allen key size/quality issue?
-
• #4906
I really like the look of the Heinne Penfold.
-

Overtightened on installation I assume. They're little torx bolts.
You might be able to see the one on the right is rounded off, left one is fine.

That is pretty lame. Did you mention to Heinne?
-
• #4909
I haven't, partly because I'm not hugely bothered, and I could probably remove it if I really wanted to. But also I didn't notice for a while.

I really like mine without the clip...super skinny.
-
• #4911
Well this was the thing. I also got one like yours, and took the clip off that one, and liked it. Which is when I looked at doing the same for the other one (even though it’s thicker with the scissors).
I might drop them an email.

Good luck. My clip snapped and I emailed them twice about replacements - no answer. I gave up.

Gutted to find rust on my F1, haven't used it much and always finish clean & dry, store dry.
Wire wool got rid, should I be doing more to prevent rust returning in future?

Got an old, pitted knife. How do I polish it smooth? I've tried wire wool, but the effect has been barely enough to be visible. I've got a dremel, which I've not used yet. I don't have a garden or workshop to make a mess in. The mess in my sitting room from the wire wool is already suboptimal.
I've got a different model in the same range and I love it. Really light and ideal a for saucisson and cheese on a hike. Stays pretty sharp so far too.
