If I have a frame with a short head tube & threaded headset, and threaded forks with a very long steerer tube, what will happen if I cut off the threaded section of the forks, swap the top of the headset and run it threadless?
Will I die?
Is there some sort of qualitative difference between the steerer of a threaded and threadless fork?
It’s fine, threaded fork steerers usually have a thicker wall.. it’s the other way round it’s not recommended to do (cutting thread into a threadless steerer)
