Single Speed Wheels - NOS Shimano Uniglide Hubs

  • I found these in the loft. I built them for my TresCross; with the idea of swapping out the rear sprockets for the type of riding I was doing.

Built with NOS Shimano 600 (Uniglide) hubs that are spaced 100/120 (the rear is 5 speed). And I laced these to a pair of Ambrosio Evolution rims in black. I swapped the rear axle to solid so they'll work with any dropouts.

The photos are from the original built so they're dirtier and dustier. I'll add actual photos later today. I'm not sure on the mileage but not huge; maybe a few hundred.

Included: Wheels, tyres, tubes, spacers, lock ring and the two Shimano DX sprokets (15 and 18 teeth).

    £100?

  • Hi, I have an old track bike frame with a uniglide six speed on the back wheel. It's super lightweight but I'd like to make it even lighter by removing all the other rings except for one on the uniglide, which would be similar to what you've done here. Can you buy spacers or washers that fit uniglide that allow you to sit the cog just where you want?
