  • My EZ-Flash Omega arrived today and I've only had a very brief go with it but I'm impressed. More impressed that the 'include SD card' option I chose on the eBay order looks to have every NES, GBC and GBA game already on there with the most up to date firmware so just plugged the thing in and away I went.

  • More detail on this pls.

Also anything out there for game gears? I’ve just saved all my cartridges from my teenage bedroom but unfortunately the console is dead, and the analogue pocket + adapter is calling me but a spendy solution to play Ecco and a few sonics that no doubt fail to live up to my memories.

  • I got mine from this seller but think I got the last one as listing has ended now unfortunately - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255690027845

It's basically a cartridge that can plug an SD card in, onto which you just copy a couple of files for Kernal and Firmware and then some game ROMs from any ROM site, boots into the game and plays as normal. I imagine there's some technical magic in the background but it seems pretty plug and play, even more so with the SD card I got.

This is the site for the cartridge itself http://www.ezflash.cn/

@aggi Looking online it works with a micro as well, though might be worth checking if there's any additional stuff that needs to be done for screen ratios or anything.

  • Actually on the Game Gear thing as well, there might be something here that would work for you. I've not used Retro Six at any point but just seen they have quite a bit of stuff whilst I flicked through the consoles list. Might be an ok point to start of at looking to see if their is any additional stuff elsewhere that would help. Possibly the repair service they offer would work out as well.
