Yeah the drops angle is shit and I do ride in the drops a fair bit but it's just comfier with flat tops. I've actually got some of those outlet USE bars sanded and ready to go on but I can't be bothered undoing the brake hoses to feed through the guides on them so they'll go on in the future, maybe they'll have a better angle.

Très chic, I think I’ve seen them on some Fern bikes before. Thanks for the link. IME you still have a flat transition when you push the hoods further upwards but the ramps effectively become shorter. Ritchey neo classic might be a good compromise with longer ramps and flat drops. Anyway, you’re probably right to leave it as it is for now and enjoy riding it rather than chasing some hypothetical ergonomic marginal gains :)
