getting it completely smooth

Thank you.
I have done that and run the blender for another year or so and now have a mixture that closely resembles slightly damp sand.
At this rate it’ll cost more in electricity than just buying a kilo of Meridian!

Make sure you stop every minute or so and scrape down the sides and pop nearer your blade. Go full speed. Balls out. I have never needed to add any oil. Perhaps you have over roasted the nuts and they have lost some of their natural oil?

I am stopping every minute to scrape down the sides. Definitely agree there seems to be a serious lack of any oil in these peanuts. They were only roasted for 10 minutes?

Thanks for all the advice.

I started reading this thread from the beginning and got to page 30 before pressing fast forward.
So apologies if I've missed something.
Please could content providers list their top 5 PBs? Preferably available in 1kg tubs cos who can be bothered with the little tubs?
So far I'm at

Update:
"Smunchy" always leaves me a little disappointed but its going to displace Meridian.
The random Peanut Butter was 'Katie's', and moves to 7th.
Freda's also comes in 2.5kg jugs for the proper addict. Manilife is consistently an enjoyable experience. -

I bought 1kg of Meridian crunchy cos it was on offer in Tesco and now I find it has no salt.
How much should i stir in? I'm thinking 10g but could go higher.
-
• #994
Pick your fav peanut butter and just copy those levels in ingredients. Pip and nut have 4g.
I just add salt per slice. -
• #995
The Meridian recipe that does have salt has 10g per kg.

1kg Meridian smooth tubs £5 in my local sainsburys
except it’s scanning at £2:50 so that’s 6 tubs to see me through the coming months.
Don’t all rush to sainsburys, this was on the bargain shelf next to other things like huge jars of jam, and strange flavoured chocolates, there were small jars of meridian on the proper peanut butter shelf for £3... -

I got right into peanuts & peanut butter during lockdown but now I can’t eat it as it makes me fart myself inside out. Just me?

Just me?
Yes
Moar nutz.
You need to reach a critical mass so they can't escape the blade. A little additional oil sometimes helps too.
