  • Surly Disc Trucker, bought from eBay but was for sale here first, about a year or so ago. Very mild use and not many miles in my ownership, I bought it to take my daughter out on rides so I didn't have to stick a rack and child seat on my carbon bike, and to do the odd shopping trip etc. We've since had a second child, so I'm looking to sell this and replace with a double trailer instead (and hopefully kickstart a garage clear-out...)

The only issue is there appears to be a short in the wiring for the rear dynamo light (from googling the issue) - it's been like this since I bought it, and to be honest it didn't really bother me so I left it alone, electrics aren't really my forte and I've not seen a need to ride this bike in the dark.

Spec below is from the original lfgss ad, the bike is as it was, with the addition of a Wald 137 basket and a Brooks cambium saddle (I still have the unused B17s saddle, although I think I binned the box, I'll have to have a look).

    52cm Disc Trucker Frame
    BX Cartridge Headset
    OnOne Stem
Ritchey Kyote Bars - trimmed, will check how wide
    Ergon GP1 Grips
    Shimano MT200 Brakes
3x9 Alivio Drive with Thorn Cranks
    Brand X seatpost
Brooks B17s - brand new, proof applied.
    VP Pedals
    Thomson Seatclamp

    Wheels;
    Hope Pro2Evo rear hub
    JTek Dynamo Front hub
    Halo White Line rims
JTek Stainless steel spokes and brass nipples
    Schwalbe Marathon Dureme Tyres (26x2)
    SKS 65mm Guards

    Surly Nice Front rack
    Thorn Expedition Rear Rack
SON Edelux 2 / Rack rear lightset
    BlackBurn bottle cages

The frame has a few more miles, but generally good condition, the fork
was repainted from black last year but this and the rest have only
done about 100 or so miles.

I'm based in Kent near Maidstone, on the London Bridge train line.

    £850

I'm not sure of the forum rules for linking to other peoples ads, but should be easily searched and has more, better, pictures on there.

Linking to old sales threads of the same bike is totally fine, it's a good way to show the history of the frame and components (and price)

  • Beaut of a bike! My wife would have this back in a heartbeat if we needed it!

Good luck finding a new home Jefferina!

  • Insane bargain this! Wish I lived closer and/or could justify yet another functional bike!

  • PM incoming... Just got to change the baby.

  • Did this go? Would love to speak about it
