  • Thanks ibob. Trying a few options in that calculator, changing to a 44T does seem like the simplest option, reducing the number of hub gear changes I make. I would probably miss 99 slightly more than 33, but overall it would probably suit me better for relatively little outlay. Cheers.

  • or you could always go up to 54t for 35 - 43 - 55 - 68 - 87 - 107", then your cruising gear is a slightly lighter but basically very similar 68"? decisions...

  • That might be even better - gives me 3rd and 4th as 56” and 69” with Conti Contact Urbans which I think would do nicely, and would keep me in the middle ratio of the IGH most most of the time.

  • That worked really well - I spend the vast majority of my traffic-light infested commute in the middle gear of the hub, with much less hub shifting than before.
