Most long john have a vertical head tube, its the rest of the geo. Once used to it you can ride no worries. Omnium use a different ratio (its not a linear relationship, but done in kind of a basic way) so you can wobble bars around 10-20 degree's and front wheel doesn't turn as far as that.
They all feel weird if you go between a regular bike and a cargo, omnium is probably the most 'change between bikes' friendly ;)
I guess that makes sense.
I didn't like the handling of the bullit when I borrowed one. I think it's the vertical head tube. Felt very twitchy and I felt unstable when taking one hand off to signal whereas the omnium feels much like a normal bike
