King Offa's Dyke Race this weekend. DNF for me. Stomach issues from the start that I couldn't resolve, even water wasn't sitting right and coke, which I never drink normally, was the only thing I could stomach. Slept a bit at the 80 mile checkpoint to see if that would help but sadly not. I wasn't able to eat or drink enough to deal with the distance and heat so was fading fast and another 100 odd miles would have just been a miserable death march. So I called it there.
Became a checkpoint volunteer for a bit and got some more sleep before helping to close down the checkpoint at 6am and travelling to the next one to help there a bit before heading for home. Seems a lot of people were dropping out!
