  • Very sad to be parting with the bike that got me loving my riding again. It's a beautiful machine for endurance and climbing. Comfortable enough to sit on for hours and handles the biggest mountains Europe can offer with ease.

Comes with Ritchey OCR disc wheels and a new ultegra rear mech. The rest I'll ne switching back to the original Shimano 105 though.

It's a bit scruffy and had a scrape which was repaired by the mighty framebuilder Tsubasa 5 years ago which came with his guarantee. Since then it's bombed down Tourmalet at 70kph so there's full confidence.

Anyway, cost is £925 ono which, given the crap Evans pedals out for £1k is a bloody bargain IMHO! Hit me up. Cheers

  • Is this a joke, it's absolutely battered, (crash?) repaired and will come shod in 105 for almost 1k?!?

  • Well, my beaky little mustard lover, if you can get better for your money I'd invite you to do so.

As mentioned, I got the carbon repaired by one of the top framebuilders in the UK. There was no crash, just some nicks I didn't like.

The wheels themselves were £750 and in pretty good condition, rear derailleur only few months old, hydraulic discs. It's a good bike, just a little ugly. I guess it might be the two wheeled version of you?

  • It's a battered old carbon frame, repaired in two places, with a 105 group (sorry with a 'new' Ultegra mech) and a battered set of wheels, based the rest of the frame I think we can take your 'pretty good condition' with a massive pinch or salt.

    GLWS.

  • you pay extra for the patina

  • Look lovey, you're obviously one of those lonely types who likes a chat.

But I posted this not as a lonely hearts ad. I understand if you don't want to buy it... the beauty of internet forums is that you may consume and, if it's not for you, move on.

The bottom line is that the bike is for sale and is a solid ride. The frame is a little ugly but is from excellent stock. The wheels are decent. The rear mech is new. I put a price on with this in mind alongside the original value of the frame.

I mentioned I was open to offers. I did not mention I was open to fluffing strange grown men who like to argue with people they haven't met in the classifieds...

  • And there he is... the Suffolk's finest has arrived (presumably just finished watching the Cliff Richard documentary on Netflix and thought 'phew'). Bravo 👏

  • Bump. Increase price OP. This is sick.

  • I'm keen cause of the patina

  • How the hell does one batter a cf frame like that?

You must see that this is hardly reassuring considering the state of the carbon fibre in your pics.

  • There are unbroken Krypton frames with SRAM Red and carbon wheels for c. £400 more

  • The wheels themselves ... in pretty good condition

  • The rear mech is new.

How is the rest of the components? The headset, bottom bracket bracket etc. bearing? The front rotor look quite worn, and drivetrain in dire need of degrease, or even a new chain/cassette.

  • Considering the rest of the bike must be as good as new

  • I did not mention I was open to fluffing strange grown men who like to argue with people they haven't met in the classifieds...
I think he means you not to zoom in

  • A blooody bargain I tell ya

  • Are pedals included?

  • No those are crap. Unlike the cf repair though

  • Genuinely useful... I'd had a look but couldn't find much cheers

  • Well you can't have Dumb without Dumber. Welcome to the chat!

I suppose you've honed your zooming in talents or those Friday night snap chats...

  • No but your mummy's gruds are.

  • Hey, you don't know how great that's going to look once the bandages come off
