Triple more by accident than design when the stock cranks failed soon after purchase and triple was the only cranks in stock (i was just about to go on a trip). Learned to love it particularly when cycling laden which there's been plenty of. Had bike shops try and convince me of the benefits of 1X which presumably works fine if you've got a fleet of bikes but less so when your bike needs to function like a Swiss army knife (tourer, gravel, commuter etc)
