Am thinking about getting the new CF SL 8 on cycle to work whilst I have the opportunity. This is new territory for me; both canyon, and modern bikes so I don’t know what I’m doing.
Any reasons why I shouldn’t? I’m a bit between sizes. Small seems like it would be best fit but comes with kiddy size 90mm stem so I’d maybe need to switch cockpits or put my own bars on which seems a shame.
I’d have to make a decision in the next few days on whether to sign up to the scheme.

I like my Canyon Endurace CF Aero. Got it just before covid and it was good bang for buck.
I thought the canyon sizing delivered too small a bike but the feedback on all Canyon forums is to trust the sizing. I did and now I say the same to others. -

I think you can ask them to swap the stem out when you order (at least they did for mine 4 years ago).

Okay thanks.
@wence cheers also, will
Check with them. The ones that come on the medium though are too wide.
I run narrow bars. Will see what they say anyway. Also reading up some seatpost issue on the aeroads doesn’t sound great. They’re not in stock at the moment, so I’d hope they’d sort the issue out before putting any back on sale. Just realised I didn’t clarify above that I’m looking at the aeroad.

Been thinking about a canyon for dad commute and longer rides. Anyone have any thoughts on Endurace vs Roadlite?
The roadlite seems to be decent kit for the price, too good for commuting?
I also seem to be in between xl and l, advice on sizing?

The fit guide is pretty reliable.
My Ultimate can easily takes 32s. The new version of Endurace looks to have slightly more clearance still. -

Looking forward to the new XXXXXL mtbs!

Canyon keep pushing their stock dates back on their aeroads and have increased the prices £200. I’m also bang between medium and small and they won’t let me switch out cockpit. Medium with medium cockpit will be too big, small with small cockpit too small. On their size calculator they actually say either size with my precise measurements, but there’s a decent size difference between the two. If I change my measurements a cm either way the advice switches to one or the other.

I'd go with the smaller and get a longer stem as an interim. You'll have to re-tape the bars anyway as they always point the shifters at the stars

what are the go to 1-1/4 stems which have decent mounts for computer/gopro/lights ?
i have a tcr (also 1-1/4) and am struggling to find something decent. extralite stems fit the bill but that is a VERY pricey solution

They fit into the shifters to prevent movement. Those come in the levers when you buy them in the OEM state, pre-filled, so that all being well you can connect them to the hoses without needing to bleed.

My raceware Garmin/GoPro mount snapped in half as I rode over a cattle grid yesterday. Any other recommendations for a similar mount for H11 bars that's 1. Stronger and 2. Not £40?

Anyone use a Canyon S12 VCLS Seatpost 15 - 35mm Setback- 350mm or or s13 and can confirm that you can use carbon rail saddles without any adapters?
Yep… need to downgrade the colllection at some point
