I also couldn’t tell (from the graun report) whether they meant push bike or motorbike…

Seemed to me the article was based on a single tweet from his partner, which didn't have any details beyond 'bike crash'.
-

The article has been updated with details now. I assume they were just being responsible and waiting for official confirmation of what happened rather than speculate.

The times is reporting it as a “cycling accident” and then goes on to say hit by a car
-

Kelly Sotherton's tweet seems to be the only source about the car https://twitter.com/KellySotherton/status/1561280743208325120

An old friend of mine had a similar experience when she was 22. Fell asleep one night and her partner was dead from a coronary event in the morning.
Reading this about Katie just breaks my heart. I'm not sure I've ever seen grief so raw and I wouldn't wish it on anybody. Grim.

Friend of mine died from an overnight coronary whilst in the cabin of a boat, on his honeymoon.
Wedding followed by funeral. So fucking bleak.
RIP Matt. You fat cunt. -

Same thing happened to friends of mine - quiet night in aged 21, he drops dead while she tries to save him. The family then cut her out of the funeral/memorials etc as they didn't want to acknowledge he was having sex before marriage, because Norn Iron.
People being taken like that just seems like a fucking outrage.

🇲🇪Zarko Pejanovic has become Montenegro's 12th annual Lying Down Champion.
The man from Podgorica went over 60 hours without getting up.
He said after winning the competition: "It wasn't difficult, I didn't even warm up."
Zarko Pejanovic's advice to anybody wanting to become a lying down champion:
Don't bring your family along to support you. That's the biggest mistake.
UPDATE
After 60 hours of rest, a rejuvenated Zarko Pejanovic headed to Dan newspaper where he smashed the office and attacked journalists.
He was unhappy that the paper called his award 'Najveći Džabalebaroš', which is hard to translate but is along lines of 'Biggest Deadbeat'.

The BBC has never really been impartial.
The BBC: myth of a public service by Tom mills is a good read -
• #76646
I accept that, due to part of their funding being controlled by the government it just cannot be.
With private broadcasters, if they get controlled by their funding (hi fox news) you also get an impartiality issue.
This is very blatant though and doesn't seem to get any better. So that leaves... channel4 news?
https://www.opendemocracy.net/en/ourbeeb/bbc-is-neither-independent-or-impartial-interview-with-tom-mills/ some good points from the author you quoted.

I’ve always found it interesting that people expect the state-funded BBC to be impartial and working in their best interest. Much as I love the UK, what in this country’s history would make anyone think that the ruling class would set up an information service that gives the common man impartial information and educates them on the most important issues? Lovely propaganda, that’s what.
-
• #76648
And yet a large chunk of the world depends on the BBC for impartial reporting.
I agree that it will be biased but until the last few years would not have agreed that it reached the point of propaganda. Since 2015 they've been both sidesing things too much and more recently definitely become truly biased imo.
Weird thing is, the right things they're biased against the right and the left things they are biased against the left. The truth is in the middle.

There's also the part where she mentions ol' Brillo Neil having having the last say on impartiallity, the same Neil who's a proud Thatcherite, chairman of The Spectator, ex editor of the Sunday Times and helped set up Fox-lite GB News. With him and Kuenssberg doing news and politics there's been no chance of true impartiality for the last 25 years.
