• I find that Google maps is generally ok in London (although sometimes a bit out of date) but when I'm up north there are a lot of roads where it just doesn't give a speed limit.

    My car has a camera that is meant to detect speed limits and flashes on the dash when you exceed it but it's terrible. Picks up all sort of random signs from side streets and the like.

  • Between the database and the camera in my car it gets the limit right more than 90% of the time. As a driver aid it is great. If it was a self driving car it would be a problem. It's good enough to be always on, certainly better than the average driver who has shown they can't be trusted.
