PS how did the rim fare? You got a new valve-hole?

Yes, a very clean hole punch through the rim as I rolled to a stop, really hammering it in place. I'm doubly annoyed as I was trying to turn off Gower St but a cab pulled to the side of the road right at the junction so I thought "OK I'll take the next left then" and bang.
