Zefal HPX are disappearing here, dunno if it's a supply gap / Brexit 'benefit' or whether Zefal have stoppped making them. I'll be gutted if they have, I'm a size two down after losing it in a tumble and can't find another one anywhere.

It's not in the pump section of the zefal website, so I guess they don't make them anymore.

And there I was feeling silly I had three and a master blaster. They will be more valuable than bitcoin soon

I think in another thread you mentioned you liked the Ultradynamicos better than the Rat Trap Passes. What's the difference? Looking at a set of Cavas Race.
Bike's looking great! Haven't washed my Cantibolt since I got it.

They feel like they roll a lot faster. But, different wheels (very different rims), different wheel sizes, tubeless vs non-tubeless etc. Feel less dead to me.
On a personal level I just really don't like Jan Heine either, so I will not support RH. I only have RH tyres because they came on the Stumpy when I bought it.

Tubeless/Tubeful make a huge difference in feel, a dead feeling tyres get transformed when ridden with tubeless.

I like how this bike has totally different tyres back and front. They do totally different jobs so why would you use the same? Still, it’s 99% the case on bikes.
Slick rear tyre can make the bike feel really fast, even with a knobbly / fat front. This was one of mine from 2009

In bmx racing people most people use bigger tyres in the front than rear.
But with this bike ^, when you're in terrain where you need this much grip up front, you also want some damping and grip from the rear tyre. -
• #288
It make sense for one thing is that you feel like you can have a much more responsive rear end when accelerating giving the feeling the bike feel faster than it should be.
But yes, 100% on damping/grip when the road become very UK.

My Ultradynamico Mars JFFs (27.5 x 2.3, super-knobby) feel way faster than the GravelKing SKs (27.5 x 2.1, semi-knobby) that I had on my Ritchey before. Both ran tubeless with the same sealant. I initially viewed UD as hypebeast nonsense, but they've proved to be genuinely good (but expensive) tyres.

Yeah, I am intrigued as to how their Race models ride, cause these already feel great. But they do be pricey. Though tbf, I only ride the Crust on like two shortish rides a week so I expect they'll last a long time.

TBF the Gravel King are probably the most lacklustre tyres in term of feel and ride quality.
A 300g 38mm GK slick felt way slower than a 42mm Hetres that’s heavier and bigger.

Na, but you can message the guy I sold it to a few months ago. Kidding. Don’t. He won’t stop texting you if you do -as I have experienced.

Got dragged into the LA bike hype.
Na, then its just my Stumpy but with drops instead of risers. I fitted a Nitto MB-1 to the Crust and it looked shit. I use it like an actual road bike (that can go off road), not a grocery getter, which this is.
