I have the Lake 403 road shoes which fit my feet perfectly so I assumed these would too. Turns out they use a slightly wider last/sole, and I'm now used to very well fitting shoes so have to sell these. They haven't been used out on the bike, just around the house and on the turbo twice and the condition reflects this. The sole is ridiculously stiff and they are very comfortable, with decent heel retention.

Sizing across brands is confusing… do you normally wear a uk 11?

Depends on the brand - either 10.5 or 11. My S Works road shoes are 45.5. Asics kicks are 11. The Lake size guide on their site is worth a look.
