Have you looked at the Lintaman shoes? i have slim feet but find they enable me to tighten across the forefoot but leave wiggle room in the toebox, they are good for wearing in the winter as the volume adjustment means thick socks can be worn without being too tight.
I have the old design but the new ones have a boa at the heel which should help with heel fitting.
I have an abnormally wide forefoot, but my feet are relatively low volume and heel is relatively normal width.
I've been using Sidi Ergo 5 megas for some time now but I'm getting pain on the outside of my left foot, they're just not wide enough. Size 46 length is fine but definitely a little too roomy in the heel.
Been looking at Lake shoes and the width of my feet exceeds even their widest last. For reference:
Right foot: 288mm x 118mm
Left foot: 285mm x 120mm
Just ordered a pair of discounted wide fit MX 238s, only available in 46,5 which I fear will be too big but we'll see. Stupid wide flippers.
