Arteta took a pay cut to join Arsenal as a player; as a manager, he walked into a burning building. It wasn't the easy choice to do either: neither was it to demand those infamous "non-negotiables" from Day 1

I think the trajectory of Chelsea/arsenal/man u over the last three years show we were quite lucky to pick up the ex player we did.

I had a season ticket for the 19/20 season, I got to watch first hand what was going on under Emery. It took a season to sort the defence, and a couple of seasons to sort the midfield but it's only going in the right direction

Arteta mentions something which is so true of Arsenal

it is a fine line between confidence and complacency

too frequently we squander a lead.. this is where players need to stay mentally fit.. for 96 mins on the pitch
