  • Cheers all! Good fun

  • Congratz @skinny ! You definitely made it a race!

  • Well done Skinny! Incredible effort.

  • On ya, @skinny.

  • Brilliant ride @skinny

  • Congrats! Incredible effort, such an exciting race to follow and hope you recover well! Pretty amazing you’ve got through this (let alone placed where you did) given the new arrival in your family and the sleepless nights etc!

  • Nice one skinny :) Sofiane also.

  • Yeah really well done!! Not much keeps me up past midnight these days

  • Very nice race, congrats! Was so cool to see you get so close and having a battle until the end. The dark and low quality insta livestream from the car really added to the vibe. :)

  • He's a great rider, looks like he is hooking up the sponsors too, wears a lot of DHB last year or two. I think he was a delivery rider alongside trying the racing (?). The year he did TABR he arrived at Newton Bike Shop (they used to film the racers coming through) and asked why people would take a break there... "It's a fucking race" he said or something to that effect. Spun his leg over his handlebars and was off. You could see his potential 😆

  • SRMR never fails to provide the best drama

  • Chapeau @skinny - awe inspiring riding.

  • Really inspiring ride @skinny

  • Amazing effort @skinny, really exciting race.

  • Can any SRMR veterans tell me if this course is harder than the one in 2019? Jakub Slician (sp) won that one while not riding at night and sleeping 5-8 hours most days. I remember Skinny’s unfortunate incident with a robber which held up his efforts but trying to understand how Jakub made that look so straightforward. Or is jakub a bit of a one off, from what I can tell he’s not done much since.

  • Anyone know any?

  • He won tour waipouamu.

He's a buys guy with better things to do, life. He's also a monster.

  • The weather this year was lovely. In 2019 it was hard weather. Also the course was harder in 2019. My opinion is this was a softer edition overall (in relativity), all be it with some hard as stuff in there.

We missed the Kel-Su region which makes for brutal riding. As do deep minus numbers persistently, and snow.

  • Nice ride @skinny !

  • Cheers skinny. Jakub just a bit of a freak of nature, guess he wasn’t up against Sofiane in 2019 either.

Mad respect to you and sofiane, you’ve gone deeper than I can even imagine going.

  • @skinny Impressive stuff and an incredible effort. You'll get him net time for sure.

  • Uccelli and Pintado scratched so deep into the race, any info?

Edit: just saw they had a crash, both? Hope they didn't crash into each other

  • Levante might not be racing anymore, but he's in 5th place at the moment..

  • Steve Halligan under 100k from the finish. Not sure if he paced himself as he had so much distance between him on either side but an impressive ride from him.

  • There was a guy called jacob fryatt, a teacher, who turned up and won IPWR one year out of the blue. I kind of like that mysteriousness. Kristof Allegaert has that quality about him too. Turn up, win, go home. Also @rj did similar in TCR7, led for ages without making any noise about it. Amazing stuff.
