Powunity is for ebike use only. For standard bikes there are other battery operated trackers on the market that backpedal are using / trialling. The one I'm using requires charging fairly frequently.
Backpedal offer install, subscription, tracker, and 24/7 retrieval. I think even with the new cost it's a great service for a lot of people.
