Bear frame supplies, you can pop them in your basket and pay with PayPal rather than going through the rigmarole of Peter’s ordering process at ceeway!

It's not really that troublesome though is it?
I think its kind of nice to have a bit of interaction with an actual person rather than doing everything so digitally.

nah id much rather be able to just put it in a basket and pay with paypal and forget, not have to email and reply and pay with his payment system thats older than me and only works half the time. And i hate emailing and finding almost nothing is in stock which happens occasionally. He could save himself an absurd amount of time by making a proper site and have stock levels clearly displayed. Peter's a nice guy but if there was any other option i would use it in a heartbeat.

My hypothesis is that the current system puts a lot of people off and that is actually the point of it, as a one man operation he's likely as busy as he wants to be and would rather process a dozen orders the way he does than 3 dozen the way it could be done.

Don’t think Peter is a one-man. He has shipping help at the very least.
Lovely chap but making it annoying to order isn’t a great business model. And when someone decides to set up in direct competition, I doubt he’s going to be relieved!

Yeah he had atleast one employee registered on companies house when I checked a while ago

I wouldn't be surprised if this is the case yeah, but I don't think it's a great business strategy hah.
He could setup a proper online system and work like half the hours he currently works for the same turnover. Limiting orders by your capacity to deal with them is surely a feature of online sales platforms.

@Batman what kind of tab are you looking for actually? I have been meaning to draw up some of these ones and do an order from fractory. That’s where this one came from and I’m running out of them.
It gets a lot more affordable as you increase quantity so even if I getting two people’s supply is better than just one, anyone else interested also? I can start a separate thread if need be.

I also got some long tang style when I got the short ones, want me that did the order so I’ll need to draw stuff up but could get some of these too.
I’d also probably get some bmx style dropouts but will need to look at thicknesses, I think the disc tabs probably want to be thicker than I’d want the dropouts.

Just looking at a reggy smeggy disc tab. Not even sure what the long tang is for. Just going to be mig welding them on some mates frames, so I’m not really ‘in the market’ so to speak. For a run I’d highly recommend London water jet though. Had some unrelated work done by them and they were very helpful. All you need is a dxf and they’ll do the rest, sourcing material, setup etc

Long tang are for forks that aren’t made to take disc tabs, the tang spreads the load a bit. Can also be used on the rear, tang can be shortened as appropriate.
Fractory are a similar deal.
You’ve inspired me to get my finger out and do some drawings and get an order sorted. Will post up when I have an idea
of prices. -

Pretty much the title. Only found bear frame supplies outside of America. Am I doing something wrong?
