Listen, it’s money well spent and no one can tell me otherwise!
Tbf the way the battery mounts into axs bits does seem a bit flimsy, but I’ve yet to have one eject mid ride or in a crash.
But I have seen pros duct tape the battery in place on derailleurs. -

Hardtail frame recommendations?
Fancy building something up for my local trails (read XC, some tracks). Santa Cruz chameleon worth it? Or nukeproof, on one, bird , orange etc
-
• #24705
santacruzbikes chameleon are ridiculously expensive, i doubt that one could tell the difference between one and a halfords bizango
-
• #24706
Top trolling.
-
• #24707
I guess it will be, like 2.5K for a bike with a Recon and low end groupset? The bizango is great and is £750
-
• #24708
been very happy with my On-One Scandal. But I know nothing about mountain bikes.
-
• #24709
LOL
-
• #24710
if you have no idea what frame might be good for you, a voodoo bizango is a good choice

Does anyone have a nice 30-40km Ladybower/Hope Valley loop?
Also I probably don't have time for a 45 minute drive each way to head to Wharncliffe or Greno, is there anywhere to the west of Sheffield where I can have a play/lap for a couple of hours?

Jon Dennis might know, though tagging @ Jon. doesn't appear to work

• #24713
Maybe if I mention SSCX he will appear....
-
• #24714
Is a Bizango even available frame only?
-
• #24715
sell the bits if you don't need them, idk
-
• #24716
Whereabouts will you be based? I can sketch up something round Blacka or Hope/Ladybower.

Bradwell

LOL
The guy asked for a frame, Big Halfrauds comes in hard....
-
• #24719
Have a look at 'hardtail party' on Youtube, this guy reviewed loads of hardtails
-

This is the type of trolling I need haha. Yes, would much rather spend my money on wheels and fork.

I was just in Great Hucklow for a week. Not MTB based but the chippy in Tideswell's well worth a visit. And Stella's Kitchen.
-
• #24722
his current MTB is a 29-year old Specialized, this will be a big upgrade :)
-
• #24723
Great Hucklow even sounds rad!
-
• #24724
It's not. The Well Dressing was distinctly Platty Jubes and the brewery isn't open to the public. Campsite is top notch tho
-
• #24725
No Great Hucks to flat then? Platty Jubes should be the name of a trail
Couldn't he just spin the post round?
