I did help out at one of the checkpoints during this year's Berlin Wall Race (a 100 mile ultra that takes place every year).
This was such a blast, an amazing community of runners (and volunteers), really brought tears to my eyes how even the last people crossing the finish line (about 29 hours after the start) were applauded frenetically 🙂
It's a crazy race - part of it goes right through the city, including Kreuzberg party areas etc. - but then you do really go out in the boonies as well, jogging past wild boars in pitch black woods..
..definitely recommend if you're in the area next year 👍
