  • The answer is of course ‘there’s no such thing as gravel’ but what have people got for rides that tie in a good amount of off-roading that start in London? Loops or ride out/train back to/from somewhere nice kinda thing.

    Got a new bike, annual leave to use up, and would love to get out and enjoy life before the extra bleak times begin this winter.

  • This is one of the nicest routes north of London I have in my list, perfected over the past 3y and rode less than a month ago, would recommend. 140km with 100km of offroad.

    Stayer the Distance was a good collection of nice routes (the above shares some sections with a few of them).

    Otherwise I'd recommend hopping on a train to Inverness and riding Badger Divide if you want a bit of bikepacking too

  • That looks great, cheers! Ah I’d love to do another bike packing trip this year, it will have to be done really, if only a long weekend or overnighter
