Insane. Apparently over 50 people are dead as a result of hits or attempted hits on people with connections to him. Including 37 in one incident.
The bounty on his head was raised to $2.6m in 2016.

What cost of living crisis?
https://www.thecaterer.com/news/salt-bae-nusr-et-london-7m
Salt Bae's Nusr-Et London in the Park Tower Knightsbridge turned over more than £7m in its first 14 weeks of trading, accounts filed with Companies House have revealed.
The opening from Turkish chef Nusret Gökçe, nicknamed ‘Salt Bae' after his flamboyant meat seasoning antics turned him into a social media star, had been planned for several years before the doors finally opened.
The buzz and pricing (a giant tomahawk steak will set diners back £630), generated countless media headlines, which clearly translated into roaring trade.
In just over three months, from 23 September 2021 to 31 December 2021, Nusr-Et turned over £7,028,266, with earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation of £2.8m and pre-tax profits of £2.2m.
In its accounts the company said: "The company has performed higher than the expected results for the last quarter of the year and the directors believe that the company will be able to continue to trade for the foreseeable future based on the profits generated during the year and management's thorough review of cash flows."
The results were achieved despite the impact of Omicron, which disrupted hospitality trading over the vital Christmas period.
Nusr-Et London is owned by parent company Dogus International, which does not list Gökçe as a director. It was the group's first opening in the UK, following restaurants in Turkey, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and America.

It'll be interesting to see if they contnued to do well in Q2.

I can't believe the do so well when he isn't there, I would of thought the main draw is him and the theatrics rather than overpriced steak
-
• #76438
I think they do a steak covered in gold leaf. I reckon I saw that on Instagram years ago
-
• #76439
They do. The gold is of no nutritional value whatsoever -unless you consider having glittery poo an advantage of some sort.

Iranian government says Rushdie has himself to blame for attacks.
Also says Freedom of speech is not an excuse for the religious insults in his book.
Iranian government can totally fuck right off. -

No 10 has just clarified that Boris is definitely 100% on leave and therefore contactable but is not working whilst in Greece.
Brandon Lewis spent the morning on the breakfast shows saying the exact opposite, so good to see these twats still humiliating themselves to defend him.

Why do people care? Would he produce any tangible positive change by being in the office? Civil service caretaking without random top-down political initiatives is probably the best we can hope for.

Why do people care?
Because it is similar to the cult of Trump where people will display an utter lack of integrity to defend or support their self serving leader.
It is instructive to have clear examples of people telling lies.

It is instructive to have clear examples of people telling lies
I agree in general but what we have seen with this government is that they have minimised the impact of big lies by constantly telling small ones. By focusing on trivia like this, the Press dilutes the impact of the stuff that matters. Particularly here, given that we know that Johnson never focused on the red boxes whether or not he was on holiday.
