Is that an Aethos?

Those Conti are apparently regarded to be very fast.

I’m gonna says 100%, want one but can’t get it on trade sadly.
-
• #25583
They are. Made 50/50 gravel/road rides genuinely pleasurable, rather than a drag.
Crux, I reckon.

Not got a long shelf life I've heard

I’m about 800 miles into mine and the are starting to look decidedly used.
-
• #25586
Definitely not. Rear knobs are showing wear after 600k. Doesn’t bother me too much as I’ve really enjoyed them in the dry conditions we’ve been having and they’ve changed how I ride that bike.

More detail here in the Cyfac section: https://theradavist.com/2022-concourse-de-machines-part-one-contest-contestants/
Leading-link fork, elastomer and leaf-spring suspension. Apparently it locks out under braking, which the designers see as AGoodThing™ for riding over cobbles. Seems slightly bonkers to my more MTB-centric mind, but there you go...

looks to be a similar idea to a Lauf fork suspension but using a regular carbon fork mounted backwards.
Edit:
Dont listen to me! -

Leading link MTB forks were tried a couple of times in the 90s and were shit then....
Basically, if it's on the Radavist, file under Attention Seeking Bollocks

Complete over thinking / engineering for a person who clearly needs a MTB and probably still rides slow.
-
• #25596
But it's concours de machines - it's a contest of overengineering and I love it

it's a contest of overengineering
yeah but at what point do you go..."is this a drop bar mtb now?"
