The first page I found when googling them had this gem
it could be a perfect addition to an urban family's fleet.
and this
This is a brilliant family addition to help provide other options to public transport

Tbh the handle puzzled me and felt really flimsy .
I think all the above ground kit stays in your car or house .
Some one would be tempted to kick it after a few pints no doubt .
The pavement part was great , there were lots more than one per lamp post -

Hi, long time lurker etc
Does anyone know why I’m suddenly only getting 10a through my EV charger rather than the regular 16a? It’s plugged into a 32a 3-phase supply in my industrial unit, charging a Citroen e-berlingo van. Usually I can put it on charge at the start of the day and have it fully charged about 6 hours later but it’s going at a snail’s pace now and doesn’t charge fully in a regular day.
Any help much appreciated. Thanks.

Usually only two reasons:
- There's a CT clamp on the 3 phase supply that's limiting output to avoid overloading the supply
- There's a setting in the car that changes the amperage which has been changed for some reason
- There's a CT clamp on the 3 phase supply that's limiting output to avoid overloading the supply

Excellent thank you, I’ll have a word with the landlord, he is doing some work in an attached building right now. Pretty sure it’s not the vehicle as the 10a is displayed on the charger when not plugged in.

Have you tried plugging it into another socket / building to check if you get the same 10A?
-

There’s only one socket here but I’ll try next door’s supply when he gets in.

Figured it out, user error on my part, Id somehow altered the current in the charger settings that I didn’t know existed. Thanks for the help.

Ha. Didn’t think of user error 😬
In other news; RIP the little red Zoe.
Wife turned across a van last Tuesday.Still waiting for a courtesy car.

Ouch, is she OK?
-
• #864
Ooof. That looks like it would have been scary. Hope all OK.

Yeah both her and the van driver are absolutely fine.
Thankfully the little one wasn't in the car - that's the side she sits. The actual cabin area wasn't really impeded and crash protection did its job but it would have been pretty terrifying.

Zoe confirmed a write off.
Not sure if that means we get to choose something else or if we even would.

I was gutted when our Leaf was written off, but we now have a slightly newer one with better battery condition. We did end up paying an extra couple of grand though. The deer’s insurance didn’t cover that.

Should be all sorted as this is a company car but I guess we’ll find out soon.

Two weeks today since the Zoe crash.
Still no courtesy / hire car. It's now been downgraded to a 'near total loss' which I guess means more fannying around by the garage and insurance company. Brilliant.

This is an interesting article on EVs and Silicon Valley's attempts to 'disrupt' transportation. Very US-centric, but some good points raised:

What's the recommened home EV charger? (7kw)

I have two EO Mini and they've been faultless in terms of plug and play. One is tethered and one is not, only because that one sits on the outside of the garage and I didn't want a cable there. The other one is inside the garage.
The units are super small / unobtrusive.
The app is a bit shit though. Not really much features or updates.
My dad has a Wallbox and that seems good too. Better app, still small enough not to stand out.
I'd recommend either.

I'd had no issues with a wallbox.
Haven't used the app though. -
