  • I recently found out my pixel 4a is still under warranty for another 2months which was great news as I was searching for battery replacement as mine is knackered. Unfortunately it's a post in for 7-10days which I can't really do and no walk in stores in the country. Looked up ismash as a Google verified repairer but they are all out of stock to replace batteries on a walk in basis

  • I don't know if it's any use for you geographically but I had my Pixel 4a repaired by a place called Bromley Mobile Repairs (in Bromley funnily enough). It needed the motherboard replaced after I dropped it down the stairs and nowhere else would touch it. It's a really dodgy looking place that also functions as an off license so was a bit of a last ditch attempt to get it sorted before I bought a replacement.
If you're nowhere near there, maybe it's worth finding a similar, well reviewed independent place?

Two attempts to book a battery replacement via the website have failed for me. The first wasn't their fault - the shop in Bank station was closed due to the station being closed for a tube strike, but they didn't feel the need to move the booking.

I expect they simply don't have the part, but if that's the case I'd rather they told me that than radio silence.
The second time they just flat out refused to believe I'd booked, despite the confirmation email etc. so the shop didn't have the part.

Emailed customer service 4 days ago, nothing.
